YOU & ME

In our You & Me campaign, a wide range of people share stories about their relationships – whether journalist or medical student, press officer or designer, creative or manager. They talk about highs and lows, big emotions and adventures, about intimacy and personal preferences. About what it means to be able to rely on someone.

The statements are sometimes humorous, sometimes profound. The edit jumps dynamically between the characters’ voices, building a tension that gradually unfolds. What initially sounds like stories about a familiar person turns out to be something else entirely: a tribute to one's own notebook, a silent counterpart.

At first, this comes as a surprise. However, the longer you listen, the clearer it becomes that a notebook is a very close companion. It is by our side every day. It contains our shopping lists and fleeting thoughts, as well as our deepest desires and ambitions. Page by page, a chronicle of our inner life emerges. The interviews touch on first encounters with nuuna as well as the many different ways people approach a notebook – from wild, associative, and non-linear to meticulous and considered.

nuuna notebooks are not neutral objects. They are spaces of resonance. Writing and drawing is always, in some way, a conversation. Perhaps this is why many people describe the process with their notebook as a kind of dialogue. When we put pen to paper, we automatically begin speaking with our own inner voice. Because in the end, the most important relationship we have is the one we have with ourselves.
